Celebrating the Worst Kind of Crime – War – AbdolRauf.Com Celebrating the Worst Kind of Crime – War – AbdolRauf.Com
This is Defense Day of Pakistan and I am hearing loud sound of trumpets in my ears – celebrating 1965 war. How someone with a rational mind could even think about celebrating the worst crime (war) in the history of human beings. Both the nations are celebrating wars. I dont know how people even think to CELEBRATE the worst kind of crime in the human history by human beings! Both the nations are trying to justify the killings of human beings. Both the nations are feeling proud to destroy more.
“It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.” ― Voltaire
To those who are celebrate the war,
so, you are celebrating the worst crime of human beings? How dare you feel proud for destroying more? How can you even think of smashing other side’s home? Just a while ago, I watch a video song ‘Barra Dushman Bana Phirta Hai’ which was made by ISPR on APS Attack Peshawar and the kids in it held placard reading, ‘They attacks us with weapons, we will attack back with pens‘. Is it just because there were Muslim attacking Muslims? But why doesn’t somebody think the same about the war with enemies other than Muslims.
One of my friends on Facebook said, “Who don’t respect their motherland cannot be expected to respect their mothers either my message for all Libidos who want to mourn the National Defence Day, the hypocrisy is pathetically laughable.”
I commented back like this, “I dont know about Libidos. But I, Abdul Rauf, feel proud for Pakistan as my motherland. I also love the concept of National Defense Day. But I hate and condemn the concept of celebrating war by glorifying the destruction made against human beings who themselves have not decided/planned war. Why? Just because your country is also not safe either (while in war). So, celebrating war means calling for destruction for your own motherland as well. Isn’t that the worst kind of hypocrisy! Again, let me stress; I am NOT against defense. I am against celebration of wars. Side Note: As far as I know, on such topics, you will neither accept my view nor I will accept yours. That’s why I will NOT reply back as I want to make friends with you forever and people even compromise friendship while discussing on such topics. I am damn clear about it. I said what I said and I mean it. Love”
“Let’s build the nation. Let’s change our culture. Let’s change the way we think about life and the world. Let’s think that celebrating the end of war is our way to peace and prosperity.” ― Abdul Rauf
